I am a flash gamer since I can remember...actually moments after I have discovered the Internet I have found flash games too. They were amazing, they were free and they were many, flash games were the perfect companion for a full of energy kid living in a dull and “dangerous” world (as many parents seem to think...and usually they are right).
Since I’m not old at all right now, not many things have changed in the world. But flash games did. Their quality is increasing with every new title and the level of competition between developers is as big as it is in every other industry. And of course this seems to be good news, but I find one major drawback here.
I’m a very casual gamer nowadays. I don’t usually play big titles because I’m getting bored incredibly fast and when I play flash games I just want some instant fun. Faster is better. And here is the problem. More and more games seem to have these incredible long tutorials, pages and pages of written stuff about how to play the damn game. I just DON’T want to read that. I’m not in the mood of reading stuff; I would grab a book if I was. Of course, I’m over-reacting, but at least I’m having a point. And the sad part is that it happened many times to spend maybe more than half an hour, reading these tutorials, from different games, only to find out that I don’t like those games and to end my free flash games experience with playing 0 fun games.
This is how All Times Games was born; I felt that there might be more ex-kids-flash gamers that sometime feel the urge to play a game, but they just cannot find fast enough that fun dose they are after.
